Not surprised that if more don't start dying at an early age. The Pressroom was always a very unhealthy place to work in, but in the past it was not 24/7 we were exposed to a constant roar of a press, ink and paper dust in the air and harsh solvents as is now. We had plenty of time for lunch and when the run was off we weren't doing Bull Shit busy work. It was get out of the Dungeon. Thanks for a job well done. We now have 4 people doing the job of what was a crew of 11.
If someone was not feeling well we would cover for them. There is no way now that 3 people can cover for someone who is working ill. If you had to take time off for work for a injury or illness you were not at home tossing and turning that you might not have a job when you came back as is NOW!!! Otis treated us as family. He believed in "Noblesse Oblige". Completely the opposite now. He treated his employees like he treated his paper. Nothing but the best. Rest in peace Charlie.

OKAY Russ, we won't blame you for being psychopath who is anti labor or for being a garden weasel. Your a great guy who was just doing his job. Yea right. When I saw Jose Gomez transfer down, who had cancer in the final stage. We saw your compassion. You could of easily let him work days. Instead you put him on graveyard. He lasted one night. 40 years and the number one pressroom super. Thanks for your service. You can take your bullshit and put were it can get packed.

What is wrong with you people? Charlie passed away at far too young of an age in a tragic way and the way you choose to celebrate his life is by attacking the company? How sick do you have to be to hijack a tragic situation like Charlie's death to support your warped views? And, it takes a real act of courage to publish your hateful messages anonymously. Bravo big man, bravo. You should be proud. And Ed, you should be ashamed for publishing this garbage. Don’t be such an attention whore, it only allows the worst aspect of the gutter snipes that live in the margin of the internet to thrive. I don't care what these trolls say about me, but it is disrespectful to Charlie, his family and his memory.
