Wired Magazine editor to deliver keynote at Print 19

Nicholas Thompson, Wired magazine’s editor-in-chief, will deliver the keynote address at PRINT 19, the printing industry event slated for October 3-5 at Chicago’s McCormick Place North.
Thompson’s address is entitled “The Wired Future: Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Privacy, Social Media, Truth, Tech Companies, and More.” Produced by the Association for PRINT Technologies (APTech), the event will feature an array of printing equipment and tech and 80+ educational sessions including hands-on labs, according to organizers.
“We’re delighted to welcome Nicholas to Print 19,” says Thayer Long, president, APTech. “His insight and expertise is a huge value-add to attendees and exhibitors, and indicative of the quality and depth of the annual Print experience.”
Thompson previously  played a pivotal role with The New Yorker, first as senior editor, then as editor of the magazine’s digital platform. He is also the author of the biography “The Hawk and the Dove: Paul Nitze, George Kennan, and the History of the Cold War.” Earlier in his career, Thompson worked as a senior editor at Legal Affairs, as an editor at the Washington Monthly, and co-founded The Atavist, the National Magazine Award-winning publishing company.
