Motorcycle Crashes

It comes as

no suprise that motorcycle accidents are up in the age group of forty and older.

In the last 10 years, there has been a 230 percent increase in fatalities among motorcycle riders who've reached their 40th birthday, according to Umesh Shankar of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

My guess is that all those over-40-year-olds are finally able to get the motorcycles their parents always forbid them to have! I remember in high school one of my boyfriends had a motorcycle and I was absolutely forbidden to ride it. . .of course, I did anyway. I'm sure these people are having all the fun they missed as teenagers; they still need to be safe, though.
