Firefighter Pablo Cerda, 23, of Fountain Valley, died at 5:08 p.m. at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, after his family decided to take him off life support following extensive surgery last week to remove damaged skin.
Thanks for mentioning this in your blog. When something like this happens, we are all reminded that firefighters don't have it as easy as some would think. They may not face this type of danger on a daily basis, but when they do there are often tragic results.
I have a child who is 23 and I can't imagine going through what Mr. Cerda's family is going through. He and his family are in my thoughts and prayers.
