Save Our Trade: What's going on?

What's going on?

Everyone is wondering, "what's going on"

Well, we are still waiting for Washington to hand down their decision and once they do we will have our certification and then we will seek our charter from The International. There is no reason to interpret this decision and the time it is taking as something to be concerned about. The N.L.R.B. will do what they have to do in the time they are required and all we can do is be patient.

We have already seen that our victory has not brought upon the things we were being told. We all received a 2% wage increase just like everyone else. The cut's are here and as we can see, it currently does not affect our shops. As I said before, Buy-outs could be offered to our members if the company was willing to "negotiate" the buy-outs.

Or, quite possibly, if the union was willing to waive negotiations on this issue. Some of our "union brothers" want to take advantage of this buy out, perhaps the union should look at this from those employees' personal point of view and not make a political issue out of this situation.

    To the union:
Don't hold those employees hostage, don't use them as bargaining chips. They're our friends and co-workers; they're people, not tools to be used for negotiating purposes.

A bolg is for opinon not necessarly debate. In the world of people working on the floor, in most cases sharing opinions is not a good idea, it creates many misunderstandings. As much as we would like to say we “work with family” that just isn’t the case and in most/all cases it is better to keep your opinion to one’s self in the work place. Up until now what you did was allow a place for people to voice their opinon with out the fear of reprocussions from peers/bosses in the work place. And that’s a god thing.

I’m sorry you chose to change that and eliminate what made this blog work, a choice to identify one’s self or remain anonymous. But I guess you have the “Power”!!

P.S. Since you’ve made the change, where have all the comments come from? You haven’t received one different point of view.... too bad.
