Press Operator Amalia Martinez

Press operator Amalia Martinez needs our prayers as she fights the fight of her life with cancer. I spoke with Amalia on Saturday and she sends out a hello to all her colleagues at the newspaper, and said she would return to work in November.

Amalia is the only female press operator at the Olympic Plant, and because of this, she has always had to do a little better than her peers, she’s a real fighter when it comes to working at the newspaper. And she is fighting now with good spirits and humor to combat her current condition.
