Funeral Notes

Today, on a sad day, we were friends, parents and Pressmen.

Nubia, Jade, Deb, David Markland, Cody Baby, Jess, Ronnie, and so many others (whose names I never got), came through with chicken, sandwiches, drinks, plates, cups, napkins, salads, fruit and desserts in a show of support for our friend, Ed.

So many people thanked us. I explained to them that it was a pleasure to be able to do this for the family. There was never any question for any of us of stepping up, that's what this group does.

Onward, with a sadder heart, but going forward with more love and friendship.

  1. Today was a very sad day. I feel so honored to be part of such a loving, supportive group. I think we're really more of a family than contributors on a blog.

God bless all of you and I hope to see everyone again soon.

    Love,

    Jade

  2. Jade,
I, too, am honored to be part of our great family. And yes, we must get together again under happier circumstances.

    P.S.
    Cody Baby is David Joe.

    Kanani,

You truly were a Godsend!!! It was a pleasure to have helped Ed's family with you and Rita.

  5. You can ALL poke out your chests for a job well done. Kanani(for initiating the reception effort and coordinating), Rita (for all of her preparations, food, drinks, and energy), Debi Padgett(for her culinary skills & artistry), David Markman (for his muscle power and "just plain being there"), Jade, Jesse, and Cody Baby (for their donations, assistance and being true friends).

It was an effort that you should be proud of. You proved that you were there for Edward because you care.

You are all AWESOME and (no doubt) will be richly blessed.

    Nubia
