Danny Velazquez in Recovery in ICU

Our former Olympic pressroom supervisor, Danny Velazquez, has undergone triple bypass surgery.

According to John Garay, Danny was experiencing chest pain, which prompted his daughter to rush him to the emergency room. Once the doctor’s discovered three blocked arteries, Danny was rushed into the operating room, to clear the blockage, and had some complications after the operation due too bleeding.

Danny is now in the intensive care unit, and cannot have any visitors at this time. Will keep you updated as to Danny’s prognosis.

  1. I'm so sorry, but I'm grateful that his daughter did the right thing. By operating immediately, then can often avoid a lot of other complications. Sorry about the bleeding. I'm sure they'll get it under control.

    My best to the family.
