Mourners gather for Simmons funeral




The Los Angeles Times is covering the funeral of fallen SWAT member, Randal Simmons, killed in the line of duty. The funeral is being broadcast live . Our prayers go out to his widow and two teenaged children, and all the men and women of the Los Angeles Police Department.

    I watched the services on TV (at work) and online (on the Metrolink)since noon until the end, and was totally consumed. From the Riderless horse, to the family's exit from the burial site.

    It was an AWESOME farewell to a legendary fallen officer.

    No doubt, GOD will be the strength to provide comfort to the family and the LAPD for their loss.

    My prayers are with them all.
