Another Media Company Files for Bankruptcy


The Journal Register Company filed for bankruptcy protect from creditors on Saturday to implement pre-negotiated debt restructuring.

The Company filed its voluntary Chapter 11 petitions in the United States
Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Additional information about the Company’s restructuring is available at the Company’s website at www.journalregister.com. According to the New York Times the owners of the Philadelphia Inquirer and The Philadelphia Daily News filed for bankruptcy late Sunday night.
