Michael Moore: Too Many Americans Are Too Illiterate To Support Newspapers

Documentarian Michael Moore argues that media executives have 'killed' newspapers by laying off beat reporters, dumbing down news coverage and endorsing "anti-education" Republican political candidates. "They've slit their own throats," claims Moore. "They've eliminated the very people they need to read their paper."

  3. This guy is a pompous ass. He derides capitalism but is a beneficiary of it and a very wealthy man. The down fall of newspapers is from a combination of new technology (which the younger generation embraces)and the ultra liberalism of the reporters who are indoctrinated by the colleges to press the liberal agenda which offends the older generations (the people who actually purchase and read newspapers)The funny thing is the corporations who own the newspapers are at odds with the people who write the storys for the papers. Although those people that report are rapidly losing there jobs. (Thank God)
