Yesterday while visiting with former press room supervisor John Garay the earthquake hit. Seems the adults present only experienced a dizziness while the children became excited shouting we were experiencing an earthquake.
Inside John's home his hanging lights swayed, giving the tell tale sign the earth was moving. The swimming pool was splashing wildly as the water gushed over the sides of the pool.
Pictured is the retaining wall with portions of the mortar falling from the bricks at John's home in Walnut.
What was your experience like?
