Los Angeles Times Union Meeting Feb. 20th

Our next General Meeting is scheduled for Monday February 20, 2012 at 2:00pm.
We will hold our meeting once again at Crowne Plaza Commerce Casino.

There is plenty to discuss including upcoming nominations and elections for Local 140n Officer, Executive Board member positions and shop stewards.

Only members can nominate, accept a nomination or vote in Local Elections. Beck Objectors waive their right to participate in Local Elections.

I look forward to a well attended meeting.

Executive Board Meeting to be held 1 hour before general meeting. All Board Members are encouraged to attend and be prompt.

Fraternally,
Ronnie Pineda,
President,
GCC/IBT Local 140-N

shop stewards for what? theres only 100 pressman left! and at this meeting do we get 2 vote on the higher members monthly pay? from what i hear they voted themselves at a meeting that was NOT ADVERTISED and what would be discussed and voted on, a 500 dollar plus the 60 they do not pay monthly paycheck for themselves. if this union had 1000 members id be fine with it. there getting 6720bucks a year for going 2 meetings instead of work and fileing a grievance once in a blue moon. I agree. My sentiments are the same.500 dollars a month. On my numbers. The board takes in more than half the current monthly take. The best shifts are being shelled out to the special crews. All grievances that are won are given away anyhow.
