Volunteers Needed to Sort 280,000 lbs of Food

Hundreds of Volunteers Needed
to Sort 280,000 lbs. of Food for
Labor Community Services!

On Saturday, May 12, letter carriers picked up a record amount of food from mailboxes across Los Angeles County for their annual "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive. Labor Community Services (LCS) received an all-time high donation of 280,000 pounds of food from the National Association of Letter Carriers in just one day! Last year, LCS received 80,000 pounds of food.

Needless to say, we need hundreds of volunteers right away to help sort the food so we can get it out the door to union food pantries and families in need.

We need 150 volunteers every day between TODAY and Sunday, May 20!

Will you volunteer for at least one shift?  There are three possible shifts to choose from: 8am-12pm, 12pm-4pm and 4pm-8pm every single day.

WHEN: Wednesday, May 15-Sunday, May 20; Shifts are from
8am-12pm, 12pm-4pm and 4pm-8pm
WHERE: IBEW Local 11, Electrical Training Institute, 6023 S. Garfield Ave., City of Commerce, CA 90040
