The following information has just been provided by the LAPD regarding this week's Presidential visit based on input coordinated by the Secret Service:
Los Angeles: In an effort to assist the public in
avoiding possible traffic congestion during the visit of the President
of the United States, August 6 – 7, 2013, the following areas of the
City should be avoided when possible to prevent travel delays for community members:
Tuesday August 6, 2013
- The area around Hollywood Way and San Fernando Road from 2:30 pm to 6:30 p.m.
- The area around Hollywood Way and Burbank Blvd. from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- The area around Hollywood Way and Alameda from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- The area around W. Olive Avenue and Buena Vista from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- The area around Sherman Way and Hayvenhurst Avenue from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- The area around Victory Blvd. and Canoga Avenue from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- The area around Canoga Avenue and Burbank Blvd. from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday August 7, 2013
- The area around Sherman Way and Hayvenhurst Avenue from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
- The area around Victory Blvd. and Canoga Avenue from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
- The area around Canoga Avenue and Burbank Blvd. from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
