Montessori Friends Support Those in Need To help the preschool youth begin their lifelong attitude of caring for their neighbors in need, the staff team at Walnut Montessori Preschool Academy did MORE than a food drive recently. They had 200 backpacks printed and filled them with a breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack for a family along with a picture made by one of the students. What a fun time they had learning about giving and what a gift for those who have received it! We appreciate our new preschool friends! Edgewood and West Covina High School Interact Clubs Give it Away! Both West Covina High School and Edgewood High Interact Clubs made collections for their local community this past month. In the picture you can see a few of the bags of supplies they collected specifically for the homeless community. A great example of our future leaders making a difference! Stamp Out Hunger Success 2018 Once again, the community came through for Shepherd's Pantry with over 80,000 lbs of food to help us sustain through the summer months. For all those who gave through their postal carrier- THANK YOU! Big Denim Donation! A big thanks to the San Dimas High School ASB for the generous donation of over 100 pairs of denim pants! Our clients got a treat! Volunteer Opportunities! Drivers are needed to deliver food to shut-in individuals. We keep the route close by for the driver's convenience. Either individuals or pairs are needed to drive on Wednesdays from 4-6pm. Once a month is the only commitment we ask for. Summer Camp is coming July 30-Aug 3rd for a fun week of reading, learning and exploring with young people getting their brains warmed up for the school year.
