Lorraine Wong 62 passed away after a long battle with cancer and will be missed by family and friends. Ms. Wong worked in the Operations Department as an executive assistant from 1986 through 2007 at the Los Angeles Times. She worked for many of the vice-presidents of operations as many were shuffled through the newspaper while ownership changed. After departing the newspaper Lorraine went on to work for McCourt Global from 2008 until the present. It was always a pleasure to cross paths with Lorraine as she was very bubbly and happy all the time. Her brother,
Gary Wong, also worked in operations at the Times as a plate maker.
Services for Lorraine will be held privately.
