Bangor Publishing Co. closing Presque Isle printing press

PRESQUE ISLE, MaineThe place that prints your newspapers will no longer be in Presque Isle.
Bangor Publishing Co. is closing its printing press, which is operated by Northeast Publishing.
All operations are moving to Lewiston.
Northeast Publishing General Manager Andrew Birden says the reason for the closure is because of rising costs and pressures on the newspaper industry.
The closure will affect the Bangor Daily News, the Aroostook Republican and News, the Houlton Pioneer Times, the St. John Valley Times, the Piscataquis Observer and the Star-Herald.
WAGM will be talking to Birden Tuesday to find out more details on the closure.
