Employees at the Dallas Morning News tweeted Jan. 7 that
they got wind of layoffs at the biggest paper in Texas , KXAN TV reported.
"The
newsroom just got news that the Dallas Morning News is laying off 40 people
amidst a ‘restructuring,’" producer Dom DiFurio wrote. "We're
told about half of those will be from the newsroom."
There was
no official word from A.H. Belo Corporation, owner of the paper, previous
to the tweets.
