The Columbian (Vancouver, Washington), a family-owned
daily newspaper, will install a four-tower Goss Community SSC press from
imPRESSions Worldwide at its facility in Vancouver this month. iW will ship
this cleaned, painted, inspected and repaired (CPIR) press from its Burlington , Washington ,
headquarters, according to the company.
“At The Columbian we are committed to
continually advancing our technology in order to ensure we can accommodate our
customers’ emerging requirements,” said Cris Matta, production director at The
Columbian. “Given the changing world of print and digital media, this
investment not only supports our ability to execute the recently announced
print contract for two Puget Sound-area newspapers but also positions us to get
back into commercial printing.”
