A glimpse of Apple’s News app in iOS 12.2

Apple made an initial beta of iOS 12.2 available to developers on Jan. 24. The release has new components tied to Apple’s new magazines subscription service, 9to5Mac reports.
Apple bought digital magazine service Texture from Next Issue Media in 2018, sparking speculation on Apple’s plans for the service.
It appears the subscription service will be dubbed Apple News Magazines and will be linked to iTunes Store accounts, like Apple Music, 9to5Mac reports. The term ‘bundle subscription’ comes up often in the beta, which makes it appear the magazine service is involved in an overall subscription to include Apple Music, TV shows and magazines, 9to5Mac says.
