Herald Publications buys Goss Community SSC press


Herald Publications (Mascoutah, Illinois) has bolstered their printing operation by adding a 22-3/4” cut-off Goss SSC/SC Community Press to their production facility in Altamont, Illinois. The press was delivered and installed by imPRESSions Worldwide technicians. Most of the work took place over one weekend.
The press is now printing at full capacity.
“It is fun and rewarding to work with owner-operated newspapers who take great pride in serving their communities,” said Tom Loesch, president of imPRESSions.
Herald Publications (Better Newspapers) owns 21 weekly newspapers and shoppers and prints most of them at the Altamont facility. They also print several newsletters and flyers for commercial customers. The expansion increases color capability and improves quality for present and future jobs.
