Save Journalism is launching new digital advertising
detailing the “devastating impact of Google and Facebook’s grip on the
journalism industry,” the organization says.
The Save Journalism Project is an effort to
educate and activate journalists across the country to tell the story of what
the organization deems big tech’s threat to journalism.
John Stanton, formerly with BuzzFeed
News, and Laura Bassett, who was laid off from a reporter position at
Huffington Post, started the group, according to
The Hill.
The ad will play on Twitter before this week’s
Congressional Baseball Game, which the Save Journalism Project is
co-sponsoring, The Hill reported.
