Fergus Falls paper sold to Wick Communications


Boone Newspapers has sold The Fergus Falls Daily Journal (Minnesota) to Wick Communications, according to John Cribb of newspaper and publication brokerage Cribb, Greene & Cope, who represented the Boone family in the sale.
“Wick is very grateful to have been provided the opportunity to carry on the important and meaningful work of The Daily Journal,” said Francis Wick, president and CEO of Wick Communications.
“We believe a community's relationship with its newspaper is an essential part of maintaining a healthy and well-informed citizenry."
Wick Communications is a family-owned community media company with newspapers, websites, magazines, and specialty publications in 10 states. The home office is in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Wick publishes newspapers in Arizona, Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Louisiana, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota and Washington
Ken Harty has been named publisher of the paper, the paper reported. Harty is group publisher for Wick.
