Metro Production Conference highlights, 2020 date

The 51st annual Metro Production Conference took place May 30 through June 2 at the Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, Florida.
This year, the conference focused energy on relevant topics that are critical to the industry, according to a post-conference statement from board members Nick Vangelos, Ray Walsh, Jason Birket, Jeff Lansing, David Stenstrom and Alvin Nesmith.
Among the highlights were Cindy Cochran from Affinity HR Services speaking about “Recruiting Strategies in Today’s Market” and Rich Allen from Topweb discussing the “Challenges of Technical Training.” Another highlight from the conference was a presentation from Paul Vitchock from the FBI on “Cyber Attacks — the Who and How.”
This year, the conference had 100 newspaper delegates and 51 vendor companies attending the conference, according to the board members. Most delegates were from the U.S., with a few from South America.
The board members thanked vendors in their statement.
The next Metro Production Conference is slated for May 28 through May 31, 2020, at the Saddlebrook Resort.
“We are always on the lookout for topics that are meaningful and relevant and we would like to hear from you with any suggestions or requests. Please reach out to any of the board members as we begin preparation for next year,” said the statement.
