NBA’s Klay Thompson releases newspaper-themed sneakers


Golden State Warrior Klay Thompson has released limited edition sneakers featuring newspaper print in English and Chinese, the San Francisco Bay area’s KTVU Fox 2 reported.
The shoes are a collaboration between the East Bay Times and Chinese sportswear company Anta and are included in Anta's KT Series of shoes.
The shoes reflect Thompson’s habit of reading newspapers before games. Along with the newspaper clippings, they have photos of Thompson on the court.
The shoes cost $179.99 and are paired with a yearlong subscription to any Bay Area News Group paper. At a July 7 release at retail store Oaklandish in Oakland, 150 pairs were sold.
The 10,000 pairs left will be sold in China at $390.
