Couple buys Nebraska papers

Ashley and Cody Gerlach have bought the Arapahoe Public Mirror and Elwood Bulletin (Nebraska), the McCook Gazette reported.
Gayle Schutz had been co-owner of the papers with her husband Brad since 1995.
“Cody and I are excited about the next step in our adventure as entrepreneurs,” said Ashley Gerlach on social media, the Gazette reported. “Community journalism is such an important piece to our rural cities and towns. A larger coverage area will give us the chance to expand the scope of what we do. I couldn’t be more proud of my husband for making this big dream of his a reality.”
The Gerlachs were already owners of the Cambridge Clarion, the Frontier County Enterprise and the Oxford Standard newspapers, and operate under the name CAMAS Publishing.
