Chicago Tribune begins magazine delivery with Doorfront Direct

The Chicago Tribune has launched local delivery of national monthly magazines in a partnership with magazine and catalog delivery network Doorfront Direct.

As an affiliate of Doorfront Direct, the Chicago Tribune is delivering magazines to local readers with their home-delivery carrier force, the same independent contractors who deliver the daily newspaper.

“Magazine delivery is a good fit for the Chicago distribution operation as it adds more volume to our network,” said Ron Buss, director of distribution for the Chicago Tribune.

Chicago is the 49th market to join Doorfront Direct, which through its affiliates delivers more than 1.2 million magazines across the country each month, the company says.

Doorfront Direct is a partnership of Gannett Publishing Services, Quad and ACI Last Mile Network.
