Press Manager Wanted Washington State

 

Wenatchee World / Washington Media LLC is looking for a working Press Manager to lead our crews as we produce superior quality printing for our publications and our commercial printing customers. Our growing operation runs a KBA Comet Press in a facility that includes binding, packaging and mailing capabilities. This is a hands-on operator/manager position,

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must be skilled in producing full color offset printing, producing superior results with close registration and good color balance. Knowledge of the printing process and presses including being able to satisfactorily operate console, reel stands and adjust folder. Ability to maintain and diagnose mechanical and electrical systems. Schedule staff, order supplies/parts and work with vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Experience in printing technology is essential, as is education and/or training and experience in the operation of offset presses and related equipment.  Must have proven mechanical aptitude. As an operator and a supervisor, you will be called upon to prepare paper for press run, operate fork lift, unload paper trucks, web press, install plates, run tension controls, adjust inks to proper ink density, register full color, maintain press, set rollers, install blankets, lubricate and clean press.

LOCATION:

Wenatchee is a beautiful small city at the foot of the Cascade Mountains in the center of Washington State. The Columbia River flows through the region. Known as the Apple Capital of the World, Wenatchee is near many outdoor recreation opportunities.

This is a full-time position with a package of pay and benefits, including medical, vision, dental, and a 401(k).
