Reality only exists if someone reports it

Reporters Without Borders is unveiling a new international campaign video that aims to remind people of the most important thing that journalists do – enabling everyone to be informed and have the facts.

By showing dramatic scenes of human rights violations, public health tragedies, the difficulties of migrants, and discrimination against women, RSF wants to make us aware or remind us that we couldn’t solve any of the major problems that humankind faces without free and independent journalists to report the facts. And that without them, the people and their representatives couldn’t take action.

At a time when fake news and conspiracy theories flourish on social media, when extremist talk is gaining ground and violence against reporters keeps on growing, RSF wants to use this dramatic video to highlight the importance of all the effort that journalists put into ensuring the accuracy and quality of their reporting.

Help journalists throughout the world and consider
making a gift to Reporters Without Borders. Thank you in advance for your commitment.
We are counting on you !
Sincerely,
