On Tuesday (06/15/21) new software was installed to the server at the Los Angeles Times Olympic Production Facility, which controls the plate making department. Unfortunately something went terribly wrong, either corrupted files in the new software or bugs in the upgraded software?
Needless to say, the printing plates could not be generated for producing the fifteen to twenty different newspapers that are produced by the Los Angeles Times.
Finally Wednesday morning (06/16/21) the problem was rectified, and the printing plates began flowing from the machines at 6:00 A.M.
I subscribe to the Wall Street Journal, the Wednesday and Thursday newspapers arrived together this morning.
A late newspaper is better than no newspaper.
