The Justice Department has sped up its probe of Google’s digital advertising practices and may sue by the end of 2021, said the person, according to Bloomberg. The timeframe of the suit could change, says Bloomberg.

DOJ filed an antitrust against Google in October 2020 to “restore competition in search and search advertising markets,” said DOJ. https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/justice-department-sues-monopolist-google-violating-antitrust-laws

In a statement to Bloomberg and others, Google said its ad technologies “help websites and apps fund their content, enable small businesses to grow, and protect users from exploitative privacy practices and bad ad experiences.”
