• The new owners of the closed Ponderay Newsprint in Usk, Washington, have asked for enough power to start the mill and construct a cryptocurrency mining operation, The Spokesman-Review reported. California-based Allrise Capital owns the mill, which it acquired in an auction. The mill was shuttered in 2020 after its former owners filed for bankruptcy.
