Times Employees Helping the Newspaper

Two weeks ago four of the best looking pressmen at the Times Olympic Facility were asked to pose for a photo shoot, to be used for an internal subscription drive among Times employees, the volunteers were Jesse Espinoza, Otis Miller, Bill Conover, and myself. Watch for the brochures to appear at all Times properties in the southland soon.

The idea is to have employees of the newspaper have their friends, family, and neighbors subscribe to the Los Angeles Times, with each subscription worth twenty-five dollars to the employee.

I'm unsure of when this drive starts, but today would be a good day to get it rolling.

  1. I really miss the days when kids would ride bikes through neighborhoods delivering and also collecting the subscription money for the paper. Maybe this never happened in L.A., but it was how things were done where I grew up.

Anyway, I think a newspaper is essential to have in a household, especially if there are kids. In order to become a good writer, first one must be a good reader. Being that the LA Times is cheaper than a hardcover book, it's a good bargain considering the skills that one will be able to give their kids.

As for the four handsome Pressmen on the cover.... well.... hmmm... it can't hurt!
