Bourbonnais Herald, Country Market cease publication

The Bourbonnais Herald and Country Market (Kankakee County, Illinois) have ceased publication, the Daily Journal of Kankanee reports.
The last editions of the papers were produced the week of Feb. 1.
“We just got tired of playing the economic game,” Publisher Toby Olszewski told the paper. “We’ve been talking about it for a while, but we just didn’t want to do it. You hate it ... for the employees and for personal pride.”
The weekly had eight employees, mostly part-time workers.
The Olszewski family also owns a weekly in the Chicago neighborhood of Beverly, the Beverly Review, which is still in business, the paper said.
