Denver Post launches Doorfront Direct magazine delivery

Magazine and catalog delivery network Doorfront Direct has announced that The Denver Post has launched local delivery of national monthly magazines.
“As newspaper penetration declines, carrier recruitment and retention have become even more important,” said Brian Trujillo, circulation director for The Denver Post. “Adding monthly magazines to our delivery operation creates more income for our carriers.”
Through Doorfront Direct, The Denver Post is delivering 17 national titles within the Denver metro area, including magazines from Hearst and Conde Nast. By using local newspaper delivery operations, magazine publishers save on their distribution costs while the newspapers gain additional revenue.
“Doorfront Direct allows us to customize our delivery area from zip codes down to the individual address,” Trujillo said.
Doorfront Direct is a partnership of Gannett Publishing Services, based in McLean, Virginia, Quad/Graphics, headquartered in Sussex, Wisconsin, and ACI Last Mile Network, based in Long Beach, California.
