Patrick Soon-Shiong wanted to save newspapers in Southern California
He recently:
- Sold the San Diego Union-Tribune to a hedge fund.
- Sold the Los Angeles Times printing plant.
- Fired 74 Los Angeles Times newsroom employees.
- All but killed the Los Angeles Times sports page.
