Former Los Angeles Times pressman Frank Cordola stopped by this morning afer working a night shift at his new job this morning.
Frankie asked that I say hello to all his old friends at the newspaper, and said he misses everyone.
Frank said at his new job (San Bernadino Sun) that he works much harder than he worked at the Times. He has to bar the plate cylinders around by hand, removes the protective wraps from the newsprint, makes $16.50 per hour, and works forty plus hours per week.
Several other former Times employees work at the newspaper as well. Susan Marquez, Danny Valasquez, John Kerns, and David Zutz.
Frank is planning to attend our October dinner, to say hello to all of his friends.

I'm glad to see people that left the times are working ,but for 16 dollars an hour its time to change professions its not worth being on nights or working holidays,putting that on this sight could give some a new Idea. Lets say or realize it is san bernidino sun lets stay with equals papers our size and runs tribune,newsday,new york times,I'am happy to be employed by the tribune L.A.times and give it my all but if they paid me 16.50 an hour I'd try somthing else with health care living in so cal thats being took advantage of. its their choice Rick Hernandez O.C. operator

Frankie is alive and living it up in Lake Havasu, AZ - don't feel sorry for him he has it made, friends, family, the lake and plenty of sunshine whoo hoooo!!
