Pressman Blogger re-instated at the Los Angeles Times

I return to the Los Angeles Times at 4:00 p.m. this afternoon and will meet with management tomorrow to discuss or clarify what content can be published online.

I would like to thank everyone for his or her support during these trying last few days.

CONGRATS, Blogging Pressman! Be sure you're on the same page with management before you leave the meeting:-)

Wonderful news -- and they're smart to not want to lose you!

Excellent news! Posting the results on your blog will prevent management from having a lapse in memory...

Thank goodness!

But at the same time I'll be very interested what is discussed and clarified in terms of what management will and won't allow you to post. Demand whatever is the policy-to-come be detailed, put in writing.

Nubia's right Ed. Be good to yourself. From following your exploits on-line, I know you've had more than your fair share of life challenges. I may be an obnoxious 'tater-head, but I don't want to see anyone hurt.

I kinda' like you Ed and have enjoyed learning about your life through the web. When I coined the moniker "The self-Flogging Pressman," I was trying to send a message. Don't do things that will hurt yourself.

Retirement has given me lots of time to express my opinions on many blogs. To help you understand what I am trying to tell you, I'll be emailing you an animated "political cartoon."

You star in that cartoon and it pretty much sums up my message. I made it with your well-being in mind. You need to open your eyes.

You can choose to post the animated cartoon on your blog if you so desire. If you do, your followers can respond (like a little survey) and confirm or discount the advice this old spud is trying to give.

Since we both consider ourselves cyber-journalists, I thought the cartoon would be the best way to communicate.

Should be mandatory for everyone at Spring Street.

Well, I'll be DAMNED! Grandspud gave me some credit:-D MWAH, Grandspud! LOVE your 'clarity of thought' on this one! I even like the rest of your comment and hope that Edward will share your cartoon with the rest of us. And I'll even 'RESPOND' if I deem it necessary.

For now (JUST for right now)...Can we KISS AND MAKE UP?

Thanks everyone for the support, even Grandspud.

I would be a hypocrite if I did not post Grandspud’s comments, which have been taken to heart by myself.

Tomorrow’s meeting should be an interesting one indeed.

XOXOXO...

Ed's always been pretty good about letting people have their say. Even this old tuber-head.
