Congress is voting on a Farm Bill right now that includes up to $21 billion in cuts to SNAP. They need to hear from you:Sign our Petition!

and sign the letter to your elected officials.
When you call, you will be connected to your member of Congress’ office. Here's what to say:
1. “SNAP, formerly food stamps, is a critical anti-hunger safety
net program that effectively and efficiently helps 47 million low-income
Americans put food on the table. You must work to protect and
strengthen SNAP, as you consider the 2013 farm bill.”2. “I urge you to support efforts to restore cuts to the program and to vigorously oppose any proposals that cut SNAP."
3. “As a constituent and a voter, I plan to stay informed about how you and your colleagues address hunger in the United States.”

Why should I pay for someone else's responsibility?
So what you're saying is, let them starve, if I'm understanding you?
Continuous handouts doesn’t create responsibility, they create dependence.
I agreed with you, that many through the years have become dependent on handouts, and have no intention of helping themselves.
In today’s economy we have millions out of work across the country, and locating employment is rather difficult, with many exhausting unemployment benefits, and nowhere to turn for assistance. The spin doctors that control the media love to throw the propaganda to the public that the needy are the threat, when in fact, the government welfare to corporations are the enemy of the people.
As I aid men and women in need I’m learning the system, and so far I’m astonished at how little the needy receive, the media makes it appear they’re living well off.
On September 18th, 2013 I will be meeting with a group called Burgers and Bibles on Skid Row, they gather at 7:00 pm at the McDonald’s on 7th and Alameda to prepare sack lunches, to distribute to the souls living on the streets. Feel free to join us, we can always use another caring person.
