My attempt
at helping a person that was laid off today were fruitless, as the California
unemployment system is most likely overwhelmed with new claims. Their hours of
operation online are 2:00 A.M. through 10:00 P.M.

in claims filed and are extending our staff resources to keep up with the
demand. For faster service, use UI
Online to file your claim, certify for benefits, and get
payment information. Thank you for patience.
System Maintenance: SDI Online
Due to scheduled system maintenance, SDI Online will be unavailable from Friday, March 20 at 8 p.m. to Saturday, March 21 at 2 a.m.
During this period you can access your claim and check payment information through our Disability Insurance or Paid Family Leave automated phone systems. Information about your debit card is available on Bank of America's EDD Debit CardSM website.
