Moment takes on Forward’s print subscribers

Independent Jewish magazine Moment will be fulfilling the print subscriptions of The Forward’s readers starting with Moment’s summer issue, bringing Moment’s total readership to 75,000, Moment announced.

The Forward announced in January that it would be ending its print edition that went to 16,000 subscribers. The Forward published its final print edition in April/May 2019.
Moment has published since 1975, when the magazine was founded by Elie Wiesel and Leonard Fein. “We welcome The Forward’s print subscribers,” says Nadine Epstein, Moment editor-in-chief and CEO, “and are grateful that when so many media outlets are facing financial challenges, we can partner with The Forward to serve their print readers.”
“Moment remains dedicated to print,” says Epstein. “People of all ages still love the feeling of holding a magazine in their hands. And studies have shown that reading the printed word on paper is critical to information retention. Plus it strengthens civil discourse — readers have more time to consider what they are reading.”
As part of its print expansion, this year Moment launched its own publishing imprint, MomentBooks, in partnership with Mandel Vilar Press.
