Gannett strikes local ads deal with Snap

Gannett has a deal with Snap Inc., owner of Snapchat, to sell ads on the app, USA Today reported.

Gannett’s LOCALiQ division will offer Snap ads to its small business clients.

Snapchat averages 265 million users a day and the average user opens the app 30 times daily, says USA Today.

Snap has shown more focus on local business advertising since it started an program called Promote Local Place in summer 2020, says USA Today.
