Boxer's Hollywood Bout

Hollywood producer Brian Quintana, a former aide to Speaker Nancy Pelosi who challenged United States Senator Barbara Boxer for the Democratic nomination on June 8th, will endorse Boxer against former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina in California's closely watched Senate race. "Despite strong lobbying from Carly, I cannot support her in good faith," stated Quintana. His political supporters have included such industry titans as Barry Diller, Sherry Lansing, Steve Tisch, Anjelica Huston and David Geffen. The Hollywood politico is clearly enjoying his fifteen minutes. Quintana notes that Democrats only outpolled Republicans by 85,893 votes in the Senate primary contest, and he received 338,442 votes. "That means I only need to deliver 25% of my supporters to decide the outcome." The California showdown could determine control of the U.S. Senate.

It shouldn't surprise anyone that he's supporting Boxer. He's a democrat. He worked for her. He's mixed in with all the other liberal dems in Hollywood. What would have been more impressive is if he had made a decision based on the merits of each candidate.

Way to go Brian. Boxer is so far left and Carly is so far right, but I think you made the right choice with Boxer. I also like that you are independent enough to endorse Meg Whitman for Governor. Clearly you know these candidates better than most of us and made meritorious choices.

Here's a good article on outsourcing --the current axe Boxer is using against Fiorina. It was published this morning by Victor Hanson Davis.
Carly Fiorina

I'm not a huge fan of Fiorina, but I'm also not voting for Boxer. I think Warren Buffet was correct in his annual report to be critical of crap CEO's who made more money walking way from a job than staying in and fixing it. In Fiorina's case, her golden handshake was $40 million dollars. By and large, I think she's got a tremendous PR machine behind her, massaging an image that has made her the darling of Charlie Rose.

I just can't vote for either of these loons.

I think it’s time for the “career politician” to retire and the "crap CEO" to take over.....

And remember the cry from 2 years ago "Change is good"!!!!!!

Well, at least with the "crap CEO," we can all go out and toss our HP computers off the roof if she totally blows it.
Personally, I've watched her on TV. She is bright, and she has a propensity for saying the RIGHT things. Too bad she never was able to match up her words with actions as the HP CEO.
Let's just say, we'll have to watch her like a hawk.
