My name is Linda Scott (Oliver). I was married to Lawrence Ward - an pressman at the LA Times. He died in 2007. He was very proud of his contribution to the paper. When he became journeyman he was very happy. I also worked there in the mid-70's.When I moved to the bay area in the early 80's, I began working for the Oakland Tribune. My exposure at the LA Times enabled me to secure the position. I am grateful for the many people who were an inspiration to me, (Carol Curl and Doris Hopping). I made many friends there. I am now located in the Bay Area, San Pablo. I am retired, and decided to pursure my education. I hope someone reads this who remembers me or Lawrence.
Have a good life, everyone.
Linda Scott-Ward (Oliver)
