(Reuters) — Tribune Co. is seeking approval from a bankruptcy court to allow it to continue its management incentive plan, which seeks to pay around 640 management employees up to $42.5 million.

Now we all know it won’t be divided evenly, probably not equitably either [as if…]; but where on God’s green earth do these people—the one’s asking the Court and/or those “managing” the company assets—where do they reconcile this?

They are paid to do a job. They "earn" their pay and by definition a bonus is: something in addition to what is expected or strictly due.

I would go further to say, bonuses should not be used to “keep” the best, but should be used to enrich all when times are flush. Those accepting bonuses on the heels of layoffs are nothing more than whores.

You know $02 I wonder those who voted against the union are starting to regret ( or at least wondering ) if they didnt screw up in being Managements lap dog all these years
