Steve Kawatski 61, pictured on the right, with Bill Yarbrough, passed away this morning at home.
I was told Steve was ailing for some time before scumming to his illness.
Steve was born July 23, 1956
Before working at the Los Angeles Times Steve worked for Rockwell Automation, and was often called in to trouble shoot computer problems. He did such a wonderful job he was brought to the newspaper with an offer he could not refuse.
Steve landed the job of press-room manager over seeing the production of the Los Angeles Times Orange County Edition.
He was a very friendly person, well liked by his peers.

RIP to a great co worker. He was such a great person, always willing to help. He will be missed greatly. So sad that the good guys are always taken too soon.
