Two magazines focusing on luxury lifestyles will not be
sold on shelves in 2020, according to
Page Six.
LA Confidential and Capitol File (Washington)
will go online and will amount to national brands instead of fixating on one
municipal area, Page Six says. They’ll retain their titles.
Both titles were launched in the early to
mid-2000s.
Page Six was informed that layoffs in the
single digits occurred.
Publisher Modern Luxury purchased the titles
in 2017 when it acquired Niche Media with its buy of GreenGale Publishing,
which had scooped up Niche a few years previous.
Page Six said it was informed that the layoffs
were the outcome of the last steps in merging Niche and Modern Luxury.
