Lol, no rule against making or wearing a pressman’s hat in the pressroom, YET! With the newspaper shrinking in width the paper hats can no longer accommodate a man’s head, but we can still create hats for children. With the pressroom enclosed in glass and doors the need for a hat is not there as the ink mist stays out of the quiet room.

The blog was started to talk about issues impacting the pressroom both positively and negatively. The views expressed here are not of the LA Times, but of each individual's opinion. I stopped making them back when the Times first changed the web width when we still had lead plates........big head.
