New Media Alliance pushes for negotiation with online giants: In an op-ed published Feb. 26 in The Wall Street Journal, Alliance President and CEO David Chavern announced that Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI), the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Antitrust Subcommittee, is expected to soon introduce a bill that would incorporate a safe harbor in anti-trust law, letting news publishers to negotiate with the major tech platforms.
